Lyle Garwood was the alter-ego of our old landlord in Silverlake, CA. During his long life, he "worked" as a songwriter, typist, immigrations officer, talent manager, aluminum siding salesman, sex toy inventor and screenwriter as far as I can tell. He was wildly unsuccessful in all of his business ventures, but at least he was smart enough to hang on to the duplex his mom bought for him after the war.
